Privacy Policy
In short: your audio never reaches our servers.
Last updated: September 6, 2026
What the extension collects
Nothing is collected or transmitted on its own initiative. No analytics, no telemetry, no accounts, no signup required.
Where recordings are stored
Recordings, their metadata and transcripts live in the browser's local storage (IndexedDB) on your computer. They are not synced across devices and never leave your machine unless you ask them to.
Deleting a recording in the library removes both the audio and the transcript irreversibly. Removing the extension deletes the entire storage.
When data leaves your computer
Never. In this version the extension makes no network requests: it holds neither standing nor on-demand permission to access any domain. Recording, processing and export happen entirely on your machine.
A file leaves your computer only when you export it yourself with the export button and send it somewhere.
Transcription is planned for a future version. When it arrives, audio will be sent only to the provider you choose, only on your command, and only after you separately grant access to that provider's domain. This document will be updated together with any change in behaviour.
Permissions
Microphone access is requested once and used only during a recording you started. Tab access is granted by clicking the extension icon and applies only to the tab you picked for recording.
Legal note
In some countries and organizations recording a conversation requires the consent of everyone involved. The extension shows a visible indicator on the page being recorded, but complying with the applicable rules remains your responsibility.
